COUP D’ETAT IN VENEZUELA – ANOTHER DEMARCHE OF “WESTERN WORLD”
Despite its total predominance, the USA seem to be afraid of even a little fly as they are trying to crush unwanted governments anywhere in the world. So, taking advantage of the opposition victory in parliament — quite a democratic victory — American politicians are in full support of the overt anti-constitutional coup, during which the head of parliament, Guaidó, declares himself the interim President of the country, and the legal President Maduro is being demanded to leave his post immediately.
Moreover, they act in the White House in the old, worn out pattern: they are collecting a coalition of “friends of Venezuela”, as they had once collected “friends of Syria”; and they have already appointed a specialist in illegal arms transfers as a special envoy to Venezuela. Apparently, they do not exclude a military solution to the issue. However, the Trump administration is not afraid of anything - in recent years, most governments in Latin America have changed to pro-American.
Let's consider the situation: in the United States during the confrontation of the President with the Congress, which has long been and recently resulted in a ban of the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Trump's appeal to the nation from the rostrum, the president was declared impeachment, which the latter admitted illegal. Is it possible in the US that unconstitutional processes take place in the country? Of course not! However, the United States with might and main encouraged illegal actions of the pro-American opposition in Venezuela, as they had previously encouraged it in Ukraine. To hell with the rule of law, if it interferes with putting “your guy” at the head of the country.
No one has interfered in the internal affairs of the United States as the Americans themselves do. Even for the covert intervention in the American elections, the US authorities arrange long trials at the international level. At the same time, American diplomats, politicians, up to the vice-president, European commissioners and representatives of the governments of European countries, in one voice, began to talk about their support for the coup and, one by one, began to recognize the putschist Guaidó as “temporary” President. Almost all NATO countries expressed support for him, and then the European Parliament voted for it as well. There is a question – can’t they see how they look from the side? Why does an American or an Englishman have the right to decide how Venezuelans should live, who is their legitimate president, and who is not?
It’s amusing to listen to Western politicians, especially French President Macron, about the "inadmissibility" of violence against protesters. The dead during the protests are almost canonized, and the “yellow vests” protests were much more brutal, there were also human casualties – however, of the 10 dead Frenchmen nobody makes the “Heavenly Hundred”, and the appeals of the French demonstrators are not taken into account. The Western world makes it clear that they are the main here; they will decide who is legal and who is not among those who are second-rate and third-rate ones. No one took the dare to condemn acceleration of the protests in France, although this is a pure police chaos. The West makes it clear that it is they who are to decide how to beat common people, and you just have to be silent.
That is why in countries where the government does not serve the interests of the United States, there are two options for action in the case of a pro-American coup.
1. Just step back and allow the situation to fade away. Yanukovych was a prime example of such tactics. It was possible to carry out most of the "color" revolutions around the world in such a way, so pro-American coups are carried out in such a way as well nowadays. American political consultants have relied on the aggressiveness and cruelty of the protesters, which forces weak power that does not have a rigid political and ideological base to give in.
2. Fight to the end, up to an open war with the opposition. So did the President of Syria, Assad. He decided on a full-scale military confrontation with the so-called "opposition", on a long-term war, which he was able to reverse in his favor. Although he heard from Western politicians that "it is time for him to leave." However, a strong politician will not be afraid of the “parrots” from the EU, who will demand his resignation according to Washington instructions. He will fight to the end.
The legitimate president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, has so far taken an intermediate position. He disperses protests, but he does not touch the parliament, he carefully conducts negotiations with the army leadership. If the army remains on his side - this is half the success. Then the pro-American curators will be left without power levers of influence. There won’t be any chances to repeate the coup in the style of Pinochet in Chile in 1973.
The newly-born "president" of the opposition, who is portrayed as "a simple guy from the people," studied at an American university. Actually, it can be quite clear where the son of the bus driver got money to get an education. Venezuelan diplomats in the United States are the only representatives of the authorities of the country who recognized Guaidó. The government is loyal to Maduro.
However, the poor of Caracas, who over the years of “socialism” did not receive much but social bread, could become an expendable material in Western combinations. But, Venezuelans have an example of Colombia, which for many years has defended American interests in the region, and its people are fleeing in despair to Venezuela. So it is better to live under the reign of Maduro, than to be partisans in the woods. After all, the fall of the power of the socialists can turn into a civil war. Pro-American democrats in the third world countries often manage to unleash it after their victory.
P.S. As can be seen in the photographs, the protests in Venezuela, organized and financed by the United States, are far from peaceful. It seems that the “Molotov cocktail” will soon become a symbol of Western “democracy” in the struggle against uncontrolled governments.
